Style with ikku #7 - Hot Summer Days
As the heatwave in London continues from the weekend into this week we have pulled together an outfit for hot summer days. Having weather like this in the UK is extremely unusual and it reminds us of hot summer holidays by the ocean in Europe. Although at the moment it might not be the best time for travelling internationally, we can still bring Ibiza to our outfit!
This week in style with ikku we have chosen a blue flowy draping silk mini dress with Camilla’s wonderful world of prints. It perfectly suits either a beach day or back to office look, simply slap on a pair of heels to elevate the look into the evening. To accessorise, we have chosen a 90s inspired striking lemon yellow BY FAR's Rachel baguette bag. BY FAR is a Bulgarian label which has been worn by a variety of the who's who, from A-list fans including Kaia Gerber and Kendall Jenner to cultural icons Beyoncé and Michelle Obama. Then, we have picked out a pair of matching yellow padded leather sandals, shapes with squares toe for modern edge from our recent favourite Bottega Venta.
Moving on to the second most important detail before we can complete this look, is sunscreen. We have picked out Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Mild Milk and Shiseido urban Environment UV Protection Cream Plus, these two sunscreens are delightfully mild with a SPF50 protection. They are both also compatible with makeup, don't we all hate it when our sunscreen and makeup become rubbery.
Lastly, the most important step to complete a look is to put on some of ikku’s jewellery. This week by bringing the ocean element to our outfit we have picked out our Lemon Sapphire Seashell Stud Earring, a pair of 18k yellow gold stud earrings decorated with yellow sapphires and freshwater pearls. Then we have picked out the birthstone of August, a yellow-green peridot gold chain ring to match the earrings for the final touch.
